Right arm pacesetter Haris Rauf will captain Lahore Qalandars when they take on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) XI in a exhibition match on May 28 in Narowal.
Celebrating Youm-e-Takbeer on May 28th, Lahore Qalandars will face PCB XI in an exciting spectacle. The game will be played at the newly inaugurated Narowal Sports Complex, adding even more excitement to the event.
Qalandars today announced their squad led by their top fast bowler Rauf. Qalandars' regular captain Shaheen Shah Afridi will not be available due to his commitment to county cricket. He represents Nottinghamshire at the ongoing Vitaly Blast 2023.
Opening player Fakhar Zaman and Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 8 rising players Tahir Baig and Ahsan Hafeez Bhatti will also be in the game.
Meanwhile, Kamran Akmal, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Ilyas, Mohammad Akhlaq, Abbas Afridi, Abid Ali, Asif Ali, Sajid Khan, Ali Imran and Usman Qadir will be part of the PCB XI. Local players and U19 players will also take part in the game.
The Youm-e-Takbeer exhibition match is of particular importance as it not only celebrates a momentous day in Pakistan's history but also serves as the opening match at the newly constructed Narowal Sports Complex. The occasion is expected to attract a large crowd of cricket fans.
Cricket enthusiasts across the country can follow the live action of the game as it will be broadcast on PTV Sports at 2:30 pm.
The decision to organize the T10 game was made last week during a meeting chaired by Germany's Planning Development and Special Initiatives Minister, Ahsan Iqbal.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to be the guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the state-of-the-art complex, which sets the best international standards for athletes' training.
