Gazi Group cricketers beat Brothers Union by a huge margin of 166 runs on Tuesday (16th April). Gazi Group posted a gigantic 344 runs on the board. Four batters from Gazi Group scored half-century. Habibur Rahman Sohan played a swashbuckling 81 run knock. In reply, Brothers Union were bundled for 178 runs.

Choosing to bat first, Gazi Group cricketers were right on the money from the very beginning. Habibur Sohan and Anisul Islam Emon forged a massive partnership. Both of them brought up fifties as well. The duo added 113 runs together. Habibur scored a fantastic 81 off just 55 balls. His innings was orchestrated with 9 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 147.27. While hos partner Anisul Islam made 65 from 63 balls. And then Sabbir played a 74 run knock to keep the truck going on. Gazi Group cricketers posted a huge 344 runs. Rahatul Ferdous had 3 wickets for Brothers Union.

Due to rain, the target was settled to 309 runs in 39 overs for Brothers Union. Rahmatullah Ali got out on 26, opener Abdul Mazid scored a tortoise like innings of 51 off 84 balls which affected the chase. After the departure of Mazid, Brothers Union couldn't stand tall and hence were bowled out for just 178 runs and lost the game by 166 runs.
