Rangpur Riders are all set to represent Bangladesh in the highly anticipated Global Super League (GSL) hosted in Guyana. The tournament, featuring five teams from around the world, will kick off on November 26 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Along with Rangpur Riders, the other teams participating include Guyana Amazon Warriors, Lahore Qalandars, Hampshire Hawks, and Victoria.

The first match of the tournament will see Lahore Qalandars take on Guyana Amazon Warriors on November 26. Rangpur Riders will begin their campaign the following day, on November 27, facing Hampshire Hawks.

Rangpur’s second match is scheduled for December 1 against Victoria. The team will face a challenging back-to-back set of matches on December 4 and 5, going up against Guyana Amazon Warriors and Lahore Qalandars, respectively.

The top two teams from the round-robin phase will battle it out in the final on December 7, with the champions taking home a grand prize of 1 million USD. All matches will take place at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

Interestingly, Fortune Barishal, the current champions of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), were initially invited to represent Bangladesh in the Global Super League. However, they declined due to the tight preparation window. Similarly, Comilla Victorians, the BPL runners-up, also opted out of the tournament, which opened the door for Rangpur Riders to seize the opportunity. They quickly agreed and will now proudly represent Bangladesh on the global stage.

With teams from five different countries participating, the Global Super League promises to be an exciting tournament, giving fans around the world the chance to see some top-tier cricket action.
