For the first time in the history of the tournament, the entire Pakistan Super League (PSL) is going to be played in Pakistan, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed on Wednesday. Ehsan-Mani

This year, PSL is scheduled to be happened from February 20 and March 22 with four cities in the country will be hosting the games. In an official statement, PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani said,

"After bringing Test cricket back to Pakistan, hosting of the entire HBL Pakistan Super League is our other major achievement. I never had any doubts it was Pakistan's league and should be played in front of home crowds."

A total of 34 matches to be played this year in the tournament. PCB head further stated, "We had made this commitment to the people of Pakistan at the end of last year's event and I am pleased today we have announced the event schedule with four centres to share the 34 event matches between them." The competition will be unleashed with the match between defending champions Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United. The Karachi National Stadium and the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will stage nine and fourteen matches respectively. Among them, the National Stadium in Karachi will host the qualifier match between the top two teams from the group stage, whereas Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host two eliminators and the final of the tournament. Apart from that, Multan Cricket Stadium in said to be staged for three matches while Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is the selected venue for eight matches.
