The 14th edition of the Asia Cup has given some unforgettable days for Afghanistan. Even though they didn't win as many matches like Bangladesh and India, this is the best bigger tournament for them.
In batting department Afghan batsmen did a splendid job through out the tournament by scoring at an average of 240. The all-rounders did a fabulous job in finishing department.
After winning both games in group stage, they announced the cricketing fraternity that they are no more minnows. Even though Afghans didn't win any game in super fours, they were able to took all the ganes to last over and gave severe headaches to the opponents. And the tie against India is their best moment in the tournament.
Right from the day when the schedule for Asia Cup 2018 was announced, the fans had started to celebrate as they could experience an epic rivalry in the history of the game as India and Pakistan were in same groups.
Day by day the talks were gone heavily surrounding the epic match. With 
Sri Lanka came in to the tournament as the defending champions of 50-over Asia Cup. But their performances in the tournament were completely opposite to the tag defending champions. In group stage they lost both games in a disastrous way.
In the opening game, the come back of their iconic fast bowler Lasith Malinga gave a glimpse of hope to the Lankan team who are in more trouble nowadays. But that wasn't enough for them to survive in the tournament.
In the history of Asia Cup this is their worst tournament as Sri Lanka always dominate in the tournament. Following the disastrous tournament Angelo Mathews had been asked to resign his captaincy post and the right handed batsman had done so. With this issue, there are lot more questions raised on the future of Sri Lanka cricket team.

For the men in blue, the tournament has added another glory to them. India came in to the tournament in the absence of their regular captain Virat Kohli which had put more pressure on the team.
Rohit Sharma led the team for the first time in a mega tournament and he was been under scanner. But the opening batsman did a fantabulous job as a captain by defending the title. He properly used the resources he had in the tournament.
In the batting department also the stand in captain led the men in blue with three consecutive half centuries. The way he used the part timer Kedar Jadhav is highly appreciated. He had done a lot as a captain in IPL. But now he had proved that he can do the same thing in International level too.
Unfortunately Tamim Iqbal was supposed to have an exit from the tournament after being hit hard on his wrist in the opening game itself. Tamim was hit in his elbow when Suranga Lakmal bowled a bouncer at him.
The opening batsman left the field immediately with more pain and fater some time it was confirmed that he was subjected to broken wrist. After two hours of the injuru Tamim had put every cricket fans in surprise.
