It was an adrenaline-rush for India-Bangladesh summit clash. Who would have thought that the game would end in the last ball? Nobody saw this coming! It was expected that India would finish off the match with some overs left. But Bangladesh players fought the good fight as they mounted immense pressure on India. Never did the game look like a one-sided. Eventually, the ending was super cool and in favour of India who grabbed their hands on to the Asia Cup trophy for the 7th time, which is the most by any other team.

Team India lift the unimoni Asia Cup 2018 trophy[/caption] Well, the cricket fraternity expected Pakistan to lock horns with India in the final but Bangladesh had tactical ideas in place to stop Pakistan in the virtual semi-final encounter. India won the trophy but Bangladesh won our hearts for sure. It was in the final over of the match, hearts were beating faster for all the cricket fans. There was enough tension as to who would bowl the final over. The skipper Mashrafe Mortaza tossed the ball to Soumya Sarkar but then paused for a while and overturned his decision to give Mahmuddullah the final over. When 6 runs required off the 6 deliveries, Mahmudullah tried his best to keep the batsmen in check as he managed to drag it to the final ball. But the injured Kedar Jadhav managed to fire in flat towards the leg-stump, which was leg byes and the rest is history. India won by 3 wickets. Everyone expected that the game would end in a tie to witness super over in ODIs for the first time but the defending champions sealed it in style!

49.1 - Mahmudullah to Kuldeep- middled away towards wide long-off for just 1 run. 49.2 - Mahmudullah to Jadhav- punched away behind square leg for just a single. 49.3 - Mahmudullah to Kuldeep, tossed up outside off, confidently went against the turn by slog-sweeps it towards the deep mid-wicket boundary for 2 runs 49.4 - Mahmudullah to Kuldeep, a dot ball that mounted pressure on the Indians who were searching for gaps to inch closer to the target. 49.5 - Mahmudullah to Kuldeep, inside edge onto the pad which steered towards the third man for another single and the fate was in the final ball 49.6 - Mahmudullah to Jadhav, leg byes and it's a quick single. India pulled off a sensational victory from the jaws of the defeat.
