Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is trying to get over the ongoing critical situation in cricket. The board has taken multiple plans to get active again. On the one hand, the personal practice of the cricketers of the national team is going on, on the other hand, the emerging cricketers are giving corona test to enroll in the new youth team. The BCB's Game Development Committee has started the process of forming a new team for the 2022 Youth World Cup. For this, 45 cricketers will be tested in three steps and taken to BKSP. The camp will run from August 23 to September 16 to find a successor to Akbar Ali. The first phase of the 45-cricketer Covid-19 Test was taken on August 16. On that day, 15 cricketers along with 9 coaching staff members and 3 other support staff were sampled. According to the results obtained, all the 27 cricketers were negative. All the negative members have left the BCB academy building and gone to BKSP. The BCB will examine the corona of about 60 people including players, coaches and assistants of the youth team. The remaining members will be tested in two more stages on August 18 and 20. Meanwhile, Nabid Newaz, the head coach of the youth team, will not be able to stay there even if the residential camp starts. He is currently in Australia. The World Cup-winning coach of the Bangladesh U-19 team is not getting clearance from the local government due to the increase in corona infection there. That is why the BCB has confidence in the local coaches. Former national team cricketer Mehrab Hossain has been appointed as the assistant coach of AP and Talha Jubay as the bowling coach. Mohammad Selim has been appointed as the fielding coach. Among the foreigners will be trainer Richard Stonier.
