Pakistan captain Fatima Sana is captain of the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier Team of the Tournament, whose members are exceptional players from four nations.
Four countries – West Indies, Bangladesh, Scotland, and Pakistan – are represented in this elite team based on great performances throughout the tournament.
Captain Fatima Sana of Pakistan was instrumental in leading her team to victory with her contributions with both bat and ball.
Apart from Sana, who was excellent with both bat and ball, four other Pakistani players featured in the elite XI: Muneeba Ali, Nashra Sandhu, Sadia Iqbal, and standby Rabeya Khan.
Muneeba's reliability with the bat order provided a firm platform for Pakistan's innings, while spinners Nashra and Sadia worked in tandem in the middle overs with control as well as wicket-taking prowess. Fatima's leadership qualities and adaptability made a tremendous contribution to Pakistan's overall domination in the tournament.
Pakistan won all five games in the tournament without losing, including the one against former world champions West Indies.
The Tournament Team also features some great players from other countries. West Indies' Hayley Matthews was brilliant, topping the wicket-takers' list for the tournament with 13 wickets, including a match-winning 4/24.
She also hit an unbeaten 114* off Scotland, setting the pace in both divisions. Matthews' all-round performances were a major contributor to her team's success.
Scotland's Kathryn Bryce was awarded the Player of the Tournament for her brilliant all-round performances. She led the run charts with 293 runs, including a magnificent 131* in Scotland's last match, and also claimed six wickets.
Bangladesh's Sharmin Akhter qualified for the team by scoring 266 runs, including a vital 94* against Thailand. Her consistent game was essential for Bangladesh's journey in the tournament.
