The trophy will come to Bangladesh as part of the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy tour. The trophy will stay in Bangladesh from Monday to Wednesday. Spectators will also get a chance to see the trophy.
As per the ICC tradition, the trophy is taken to different countries every time before the World Cup. This time the World Cup trophy is coming to Bangladesh two months before the World Cup. The trophy will arrive in Bangladesh on Sunday midnight i.e. early morning on Monday. On Monday (August 7), the trophy will be taken to Padma Bridge, one of the largest structures in Bangladesh.
The trophy photo shoot will be done at the Mawa end of Padma Bridge. This photoshoot will be done on Monday at 3 pm.
Then, it will be taken to the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday (August 8). The trophy will be kept there from 9 am to 12 pm. National men's and women's cricketers will be present there along with former cricketers, cricket officials, organizers, and media personnel.
Spectators will get a chance to see the trophy on Wednesday (August 9). The trophy will be kept at Bashundhara Shopping Mall from 11 am to 8 pm for the fans.
The upcoming World Cup will start on October 5. The final match will be held on November 19. A total of 48 matches will be held. India is organizing the entire event this year. Bangladesh will start the World Cup campaign on October 7 with a match against Afghanistan.
