Babar Azam will be the captain of Pakistan's T20 team for the third time in a row. They will play in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies in June. This decision came after Babar Azam was picked again as the captain for the shorter format games.

Azam had stepped down from the captaincy in November after the unsuccessful World Cup campaign in India 2023. Then, Left Arm Speed Star Shaheen Shah Afridi became the captain of the Pakistan team. But after Pakistan lost badly to New Zealand, Shaheen was removed from the captaincy and Babar was reappointed as the white ball captain of the men's Pakistan team.

Azam is no stranger to pressure situations. As one of Pakistan's most talented batsmen, he has consistently proven himself on the international stage. He has a T20I batting average of 41.10, one of the finest Pakistani player with more than 300 runs in the format.also he has 3 T20I hundreds to his name.

Basit Ali, a former Pakistan cricketer, has challenged Babar Azam. He wants Babar Azam to hit three sixes in a row against top teams. If Babar Azam succeeds, Basit Ali will delete his YouTube channel.

"If Babar Azam hits three straight sixes against top teams, not against the likes of the USA or Ireland, but against top teams, I will shut down my YouTube channel. If he accepts this challenge, he should say that he accepts it. And if he can't hit those sixes in the World Cup, then he shouldn't open the batting," said Ali.
