The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed a revised schedule for England's highly anticipated Test tour of Pakistan next month, with the second Test originally set for Karachi now moved to Multan. This adjustment comes as Karachi’s National Stadium undergoes major renovations ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.

England's three-Test series against Pakistan, part of the ICC World Test Championship, will now feature back-to-back fixtures in Multan. The first Test will take place from October 7-11, with the second Test scheduled from October 15-19, both at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The series will then conclude with the third and final Test in Rawalpindi from October 24-28, as initially planned.

This revision in the schedule was necessitated due to the renovation work at the National Stadium in Karachi. Rawalpindi, initially considered for hosting the second Test, was also unavailable due to an international conference in neighboring Islamabad from October 15-16.

Despite the venue change, the PCB expressed excitement about hosting England, with PCB Director of International Cricket Usman Wahla stating, "PCB is thrilled to welcome the England men’s cricket team back to Pakistan. Despite minor adjustments, we are committed to supporting fans and ensuring a memorable tour. We look forward to a fiercely competitive Test series and showcasing Pakistan’s renowned hospitality."

England's squad, which includes a large group of 17 players, will arrive in Multan on October 2, with Pakistan's team assembling on the same date. England coach Brendon McCullum previously highlighted the importance of finalizing venues in advance, stating it was crucial for selecting a squad that suits the playing conditions.

October 15-19: Second Test, Multan

October 24-28: Third Test, Rawalpindi
