The match was made more fun by the fight between the cricketers of the two teams on the playing field as well as the war of words. This is especially common in Tests. This happened recently in the Test series between India and England.
Virat Kohli was not in this series. His successor Shubman Gill stuck to the field with Anderson and Jonny Bairstow. There was some talk with James Anderson before he got out. Gill did not reveal it, but the 41-year-old pacer said.
"I said something to him like 'Do you get any runs outside India?' and he said 'It's time to retire'," said Anderson. "Then two balls later, I got him out."
Gill was rightly dismissed by Anderson. Gill also stuck with Bairstow on this. His wicket was the pacer's 699th Test wicket. He got the '700th' wicket by dismissing Kuldeep Yadav. Anderson also told the funny story that happened with Kuldeep.
“Kuldeep told me I will be your 700th victim. Kuldeep did not want to imply that he will be out. He wanted to convey that this is what he thinks. We both had a good laugh about it,” Anderson added.
