In a star-studded lineup, Dinesh Karthik will now join the likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Rashid Khan, and Shoriful Islam as part of the Bangla Tigers in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. This exciting combination of players promises to elevate the competition, especially with Karthik making his debut in the league after exiting his contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The Bangla Tigers confirmed the signing of the Indian legend in an official statement, saying, “DK is now a Tiger! What a massive signing for Bangla Tigers, securing DK as their Global Superstar! Ready to see him dominate in Cricket’s Fastest Format?"

Earlier, Bangla Tigers made headlines by signing Bangladeshi global superstar Shakib Al Hasan as their icon player. The team has since bolstered its squad with players like Shoriful Islam, Rashid Khan, Karim Janat, Charith Asalanka, Liam Livingstone, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Hazratullah Zazai. The latest addition, Karthik, has become a free agent after stepping away from his BCCI commitments, allowing him to participate in various global T20 leagues.

Bangla Tigers, owned by Bangladeshi investors, have gained significant popularity across different international leagues. Their journey began with the Abu Dhabi T10, and they have since expanded into tournaments like the Lanka Premier League (as Bangla Tigers Hambantota), the Zimbabwe Afro T10 (as Joburg Bangla Tigers), and Canada’s Global T20 (as Bangla Tigers Mississauga).

The 2024 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 will be held from November 21 to December 2, with New York Strikers entering as the defending champions. While the Bangla Tigers have yet to win a title, they have had strong showings in previous seasons, finishing third in 2019, fifth in 2021, and fourth again in 2023. Their 2022 campaign was less successful, finishing eighth.

With the combined efforts of Shakib Al Hasan, Dinesh Karthik, Soariful Islam, and Rashid Khan, the Bangla Tigers are poised for a serious title push in the 2024 season, and fans are eager to see if the elusive championship will finally be within reach.
