Chennai Super Kings have been blown away by Punjab Kings on first may at their own home backyard. However, that defeat is not only the saddening thing, they've got more pain into this.
Deepak Chahar
It was Mustafiz’s last match for CSK as the left-arm pacer flew to Bangladesh for his home series against Zimbabwe. While Sri Lankan bowler, Matheesha Pathirana also got a niggle. Another pacer, Tushar Deshpande has flue. And the newly added bowler is - Deepak Chahar. CSK coach and former Kiwi legend, Stephen Fleming said, Chahar's early signs weren't promising.
"Yeah, the travelogue is pretty busy," Fleming said after CSK lost to Punjab by seven wickets. "There's a lot of ins and outs. So, Deepak Chahar doesn't look good. The initial feeling wasn't great. So, I'm hoping for a more positive report when the physio and the doctor have a look."
If Chahar gets out of IPL due to injury, CSK will have a thin stock of fast bowling. CSK are firmly standing on number 4 after winning 5 matches out of 10 they've played. Even if they qualify for the knockouts, they'll have serious trouble in their fast bowling as all the frontline pacers have had injury.
