Chittagong Kings beat Dhaka Capitals by 7 wickets on Thursday (January 9). Sabbir Rahman's outstanding 82* off only 35 deliveries helped Dhaka Capitals get to 177 runs on the board. In reply, Chittagong Kings batters chipped away with crucial quick-fire runs which helped them chase down the total comfortably.

Being inserted to bat first, Dhaka Capitals didn't have a solid way to start to their innings as Aliss Al Islam and Khaled Ahmed combined a superb spell together to get rid off danger man Jason Roy, wicketkeeper batter Stevie Eskinazi and Shahadat Hossain Dipu cheaply. They were stuttering on 66-3.

And then Sabbir Rahman and Tanzid Hasan Tamim together forged a fine stand to handle the initial blow. The duo added 63 runs off just 35 deliveries. Tanzid made a gutsy knock of 54 off 48 deliveries before departing to Wasim.

However, Sabbir Rahman blasted a sensational 82* off only 33 deliveries, tearing apart Chittagong Kings bowling line as he smacked 9 massive blows and 3 boundaries. Dhaka Capitals posted a competitive 177 on the board.

In reply, Parvez Hossain Emon couldn’t stand tall as he fell cheaply on 17 off 16 balls. Usman Khan and Graham Clarke strung a fine partnership of 51 runs off only 30 deliveries which uplifted Chittagong Kings.

Mosaddek Hossain drew the breakthrough as he removed Graham Clarke on 39 off 32 deliveries. Whereas Usman Khan played a fine knock of 55 off only 33 deliveries.

Runs were flowing as Chittagong Kings skipper Mohammad Mithun scored unbeaten 33* off 22 deliveries and Shamim Hossain blasted a blistering 30* off just 14 deliveries to help his side get a massive 7 wickets victory.
