Pakistan have piled up runs on the day one of first Test in Multan. Captain Shan Masood's marathon 151 of 177 balls, along with opener Abdullah Shafique's brilliant 102 off 184 deliveries aided Pakistan finish the day on 328-4. The duo's incredible 253-run stand propelled Pakistan to a mountain. 

Abdullah Shafique's and Shan Masood's marathon 253-run stand helped Pakistan bag the opening day. Gus Atkinson started off to a flier as he removed Saim Ayub after 4 off 10 deliveries. And then Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood started to stitch a good partnership. Skipper Masood was under tremendous pressure before coming to this match as he was having a rough lean patch. And he replied with absolute banger, smashing a fantastic 151, with Shafique being the perfect partner at the other end and he too blasted a fine 102 off 184 deliveries and the duo stitched 253-run partnership to uplift Pakistan.

The pair departed in space of 16 balls with Gus Atkinson and and Jack Leach accounting for them. Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel, however seemed like to they would see the day through but Babar's woeful run continues as he was trapped to Chris Woakes after 30 off 71 deliveries.

Saud Shakeel remained unbeaten on 35* off 72 deliveries and Pakistan are flying on 328-4.
Gus Atkinson picked up two wickets, Jack Leach sneaked away with one sole wicket and Chris Woakes had one wicket as well.
