BCCI announces India squad for 2023 ACC Men’s U-19 Asia Cup
India’s U19 squad will consist of 15 members and three travelling standby players.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India U19 squad for the upcoming ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup 2023. The governing body has named a strong 15-man squad and also named three traveling substitutes.
India's Under-19 cricket squad has been selected by the Junior Selection Committee for the 2023 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup. The defending champion and eight-time record winner has lined up his team and is hoping for another win. A total of 8 teams will take part in the tournament in the United Arab Emirates, with the competition scheduled to begin in December.
Uday Saharan will captain the team and Saumy Kumar Pandey will be his deputy. The squad also has two wicketkeepers: Aravelly Avanish Rao and Innesh Mahajan. It will be an opportunity for young players to showcase their talent and extend their dominance in the U19 Asia Cup.
India, the defending champions, have won the title a record eight times and are hoping to make it nine. Apart from the main squad and traveling reserve players, BCCI has also named four additional reserve players. However, the reserve players will not be part of the touring contingent.
The young players have worked hard in domestic cricket and it will be a huge opportunity for them to make a name for themselves. The tournament starts on December 8th. India will open their match against Afghanistan at ICC Academy Oval – 1.
