Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the team for the three-match women’s T20 international series against Pakistan in Chattogram. The two star cricketers of the Bangladesh women's team, Salma Khatun and Jahanara Alam, are not in the announced squad.
Jahanara has not been in the national team for a long time. She played last match in May this year. She played one T20 and two ODIs and took two wickets in two ODIs. On the other hand, she was very expensive in the T20 against Sri Lanka.
She conceded 44 runs without a wicket. Like Jahanara, another veteran cricketer, Salma Khatun, is not in the team for the T20 series against Pakistan. This cricketer has been serving the national team for a long time.
However, Salma's recent performances are not good. She took only one wicket in the last five matches. That is why BCB did not consider her for the T20 series at home.
The series between the two teams will start on October 25. The second and third T20 will be held on October 27 and 29. All three matches of the series will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
