The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Ireland. In a press release, the BCB confirmed the team roster, with the Irish women's team set to arrive in Bangladesh on November 22 for both ODI and T20I series.
Leading the team is Nigar Sultana Joty, who continues as captain, with Nahida Akter serving as her deputy. Key batters like Murshida Khatun, Fargana Hoque, and Sharmin Akhter Supta are included in the lineup, with Joty expected to be a major contributor with the bat.
The all-rounder department will rely heavily on Shorna Akter, Ritu Moni, and Rabeya Khatun, while pacers Marufa Akter and Jahanara Alam will spearhead the bowling attack. Additionally, the squad features bowlers like Sultana Khatun, Taj Nahar, and Sanjida Akter Meghla, who are expected to play vital roles.
Five players have been named as standbys: Dilara Akter, Disha Biswas, Jannatul Ferdous Sumona, Sarmin Sultana, and Fariha Islam Trisna.
The ODI series kicks off on November 27, with the second and third matches scheduled for November 30 and December 2 at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Following the ODI series, both teams will head to Sylhet for the T20I series. The three matches will take place on December 5, December 7, and December 9 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
