In a gripping T20 clash, Bangladesh A women emerged victorious over Sri Lanka A women by 10 runs in the third T20 at the SSC ground on Sunday (September 15). Bangladesh won the first two matches also.
Bangladesh A women, batting first, struggled to build a substantial innings but managed to post a total of 97/9 in their 20 overs. Shathi Rani was the top scorer with 26 runs from 21 balls, while Dilara Akter contributed 13 runs before being run out. Despite these efforts, Bangladesh A women found it challenging to accelerate their scoring rate.
Sri Lanka A Women’s bowlers put in a disciplined performance, with Malsha Shehani taking 4 wickets for 12 runs, and Nimesha Madushani claiming 2 wickets for 19 runs. Their tight bowling restricted Bangladesh A women and kept them under pressure throughout the innings.
In response, Sri Lanka A women faced a tough challenge and were restricted to 87/8 in their 20 overs.
