While keeping an eye to the ongoing first Test match between Bangladesh and visiting England, India’s premier spin performer Ravichandran Ashwin became charmed at the witchcraft of bowling by the debutant off spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz who claimed a fifer in his very first international appearance of longer version of cricket. Bamboozling the English batting line up from the first spell of his bowling, Miraz picked up 2 in the pre-lunch session and then took another 3 to complete his five wicket haul in the post lunch sessions.

Appreciating the youngster, India’s top ranked spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin said, “Never watched a more exciting first over after lunch before.”

Mehedi Hasan picked up his third wicket right after lunch and then uprooted Moeen Ali who got stick into the crease for a long time to restore the English innings a little.
