Being inserted to bat first, Pakistan had a horrible start, losing the top three just inside the powerplay. Their batters were tad slowish and couldn’t get runs by any means. Georgia Wareham triggered the collapse at the middle order and Ashleigh Gardner pulled things off by picking up four wickets to her name.
Only Aliya Riaz scored some runs under her belt and helped her side get to 82. Aliya Riaz scored a sedate 26 off 32 balls.
In reply, Beth Mooney and Alyssa Healy had a flying start, stitching up their opening stand for 36 runs inside 4 overs before Sadia Iqbal removed the in-form Mooney on 15 off 15 balls.
However, that didn’t change the fate of the result as the skipper Alyssa Healy was on mood and she smashed a swashbuckling 37* off only 23 balls, which compromises 5 boundaries. However, she retired hurt, which brought Ashleigh Gardner on the field.
Another batter Ellyse Perry too scored some runs in the chase as she scored 22 off 23 balls and remained unbeaten.
Australia won all the matches they've played and are on the track to play the semis.
