New Zealand thumped England in the fourth and last match to draw the series. They have beaten England by 6 wickets on Wednesday (6th September) at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Seifert, Glenn Phillips and Chapman's excellent batting helped New Zealand chase down 176 inside 18 overs.
Earlier the day, England won the toss and chose to bat. Coming out to bat, Jonny Bairstow gave them a solid start. Although Kiwis got themselves in by picking up the wickets of Will Jacks, Dawid Malan, Harry Brook at regular intervals. But Jonny was smacking the kiwis for fun at the other end. He made a swashbuckling 73 from only 41 balls with a jaw dropping strike rate of 178.05. Apart from him no one from England stood up and hence they posted only 175-8 on the board after alloted 20 overs.
In reply of 176, Fin Allen gave Nz a solid start as he raced to 16 from 6. However he was knocked out by Luke Wood. Wk batter Tim Seifert and Glenn Phillips put on a show and made a fine partnership. The former one scored 48 from 32 deliveries and the latter one scored 42 from only 32 balls. At the end, Mark Chapman's quick-fire cameo of 40 off just 25 balls and Rachin Ravindra's 17 off only 9 balls helped New Zealand get over the line inside 18 overs. With the win they've equalised the series by 2-2.
