Bangladesh's cutting master Mustafizur Rahman is ruling the IPL stage. Mustafiz is playing IPL for Chennai Super Kings this season. Chennai also won several matches with his brilliant bowling.
However, Taskin has been called up by the IPL several times in the past. However, considering his injury record, BCB did not allow him to play in IPL. His name was also removed from this year's auction. Former Bangladesh captain and current BCB director Akram Khan has opened up about the issue of allowing Mustafiz to play in IPL and not giving Taskin.
While talking to the media on April 15, Akram said, "He (Taskin) is our all-format player." He is playing Test, ODI, T20. But in IPL, you have to play a lot of matches in 40-45 days, you have to make a lot of journeys. It can be seen that he played till 12 o'clock in the night, he had to catch a plane again at 6 o'clock the next morning. It goes to a stage and comes to fatigue. As Taskin has more injury problems than Mustafiz, that is a concern for us. (DPL) ODIs, but there is a rest. If IPL and Dhaka League are concerned, it is important for Taskin to rest him as a player of all three formats. Here I am getting 3-4 days of rest in ODIs which I will not get in India.'
Regarding the injuries of cricketers in general, Akram said, 'Injuries are bad in every case. Because our options are less than other countries. We don't have as many players as other countries. Soumya started doing good and got injured, Taijul (Islam) is also (injured). We have been concerned about this for the past 5-7 years. But we have to survive it. It is a problem for all parties.
