India thrashed Zimbabwe by 100 runs on Sunday (7th July). Abhishek Sharma's sensational hundred and a late blitz from Rinku Singh helped India post a mammoth 234 on the board. In reply, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan both shared 3 wickets each to rip through Zimbabwe's batting lineup.

After opting to bat first, India lost Shubman Gill earlier on but Abishek Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad took the onus on their shoulders and stitched a mammoth 137 run stand off only 76 deliveries, where Abishek teared Zimbabwe apart. Abishek notched up a sensational century and scored a swashbuckling 100 off just 47 deliveries.
Ruturaj Gaikwad also scored a serious 77* off 47 deliveries to steer the ship for India. At the backend of the innings, Rinku Singh blazed all the way out for a blockbuster 48* off just 22 deliveries which helped India post 234 on the board.
In reply, Zimbabwe were in all sorts of trouble, losing wickets at regular intervals. Wesley Madhvere stood tall as he made a fine 43 off 39 deliveries.
Dion Myers, Sikandar Raza all flopped in the middle. At the backend of the innings, Jongwe smashed for a while as he made 33 off 26 deliveries and Zimbabwe made 134 on the board and lost the match by 100 runs.
