The first one-day match between Bangladesh Emerging and Ireland Wolves in Chattogram has been called off after Irish all-rounder Ruhan Pretorius has tested positive for COVID-19. 1st unofficial ODI called off after positive case

The right-arm pacer bowled four overs and got the wicket of Yasir Ali (24-ball 4) in the 11th over. Celebrations were on as Ireland Wolves took four wickets. Pretorius was immediately isolated after the news arrived. Ireland Wolves returned to the hotel. The match has ended on Bangladesh Emerging making 122/4 in 30 overs. Towhid Hridoy (44* off 61) and Shamim Hossain (22* off 26) were at the crease until the match was postponed. After opting to bowl, Ireland Wolves started well as opening bowler Mark Adair dismissed Tanzid Hasan Tamim (10) and Mahmudul Hasan Joy (0) on consecutive deliveries in the fifth over. Bangladesh Emerging skipper Saif Hassan hung around for 49-ball 31 runs until a mix-up with Hridoy got him back to the pavilion. The second unofficial ODI is scheduled on March 7, at the same venue - Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury. Three more ODIs and two T20Is will be played in after that. Another round of testing will be carried out. "The tour is not getting cancelled at the moment. We will carry out all the processes in this situation. Both teams will be tested [COVID-19], and the boards will talk to decide the future of the tour," BCB doctor Debashish Chowdhury told BDCricTime.
