Zimbabwe cricket star Sikandar Raza has recently won hearts with his heartfelt response to a fan's request to play for Pakistan. Recognized as one of Zimbabwe’s best cricket talents, Raza has consistently delivered match-winning performances for his nation. Despite his Zimbabwean allegiance, the 38-year-old's roots trace back to Sialkot, Pakistan, Raza has also very good experience in T20 Leagues around the world including IPL. 

Debuting in 2013, Sikandar Raza is generally considered a cricketing jewel in Zimbabwe. Since then, he has displayed outstanding play in 91 Twenty20 Internationals, 142 One-Day Internationals, and 17 Tests.

During a Q&A session, a fan asked, "Have you ever thought about playing for Pakistan? You could help resolve the middle-order batting woes."

Raza’s response was both heartwarming and respectful. He said, “I am a born Pakistani and a product of Zimbabwe Cricket. I will only and ever represent Zimbabwe."

He further added, “Zimbabwe spent time and money on me and I am only trying to repay their faith and whatever I achieve will never even get close to repaying it. Zim is mine and am theirs fully."

In the recent five-match T20I series against India, Sikandar Raza led the Zimbabwe team. Despite an initial victory in the first T20I, Zimbabwe couldn’t maintain the momentum, with India winning the remaining games to clinch the series 4-1.

Raza's numbers show that he has made 1187 runs and taken 34 wickets in Test cricket. When it comes to one-day internationals, he has scored 4154 runs and taken 88 wickets. In T20Is, he has scored 2037 runs and taken 66 wickets.
