After they tested positive for a prohibited recreational substance in an out-of-competition instance during a recent in-house dope test, they have been suspended from all cricket activities awaiting a hearing. This suspension is in effect until the hearing results are determined.
The ZC Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials has been used to file charges against them, and they are scheduled to appear for a disciplinary hearing in the near future. The hearing will most likely determine the duration of their ban.
In 2018, Mavuta made his debut on the international stage. Since then, he has participated in four tests, twelve one-day internationals, and ten Twenty20 Internationals. On the other hand, Madhevere, who made his debut for Zimbabwe in 2020, has played in two tests, 36 one-day internationals, and sixty Twenty20 Internationals.
Another spinning all-rounder, Madhevere, was not in the squad for the recently concluded ODI series against the Irish but has close to 100 matches for the country.
