Yograj Singh, the father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has once again lashed out at MS Dhoni, accusing the legendary wicket-keeper batter of sabotaging his son’s cricket career. In a fiery interview with Zee Switch’s YouTube channel, Yograj did not hold back, blaming Dhoni for Yuvraj’s premature exit from international cricket and demanding that the Indian government award Yuvraj the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, for his contributions to Indian cricket, including his heroic performance in the 2011 ICC World Cup while battling cancer.

Yograj, who himself represented India in one Test and six ODIs during the early 1980s, has a history of animosity towards Dhoni. He claimed that the former Indian captain's actions severely affected Yuvraj's career. "I won’t forgive MS Dhoni," Yograj said in the interview. "He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life."

Yograj alleged that Dhoni's influence cost Yuvraj several more years in international cricket, stating, "That man has ruined my son’s life, who could have played for four to five more years. I challenge everyone to have a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said that there will never be another Yuvraj Singh."

In addition to his criticism of Dhoni, Yograj also took a swipe at another former India captain, Kapil Dev. Yograj, who has had a long-standing feud with Kapil Dev, claimed that Yuvraj's successful career was a form of revenge against the 1983 World Cup-winning captain. "The greatest captain of our time, Kapil Dev… I told him, I’ll leave you in a position where the world would curse you. Today, Yuvraj Singh has 13 trophies, and you have only one, the World Cup. End of discussion," Yograj asserted.

Yograj’s comments have sparked widespread discussion on social media, where his criticism of Dhoni has become a trending topic. Despite his harsh words, Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in August 2020, has yet to respond publicly to these allegations. Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh, who is widely regarded as one of India’s greatest all-rounders, continues to be celebrated for his achievements, including his pivotal role in India’s 2011 World Cup victory.

As the debate rages on, Yograj Singh’s demand for Yuvraj to be honored with the Bharat Ratna adds another layer to the ongoing conversation about the legacy of one of India’s most beloved cricketers.
