The work of the investigation committee formed to investigate the reasons for the failure of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 has not been completed yet. The process of finalizing the investigation has been held up for a while as some cricketers are still unable to sit down. Even captain Shakib Al Hasan has not been spoken to yet. The forced investigation committee is rushing to Sylhet.

Every top cricketer in the country including Shakib is now in Sylhet to play Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Before this, Shakib was busy with elections. All in all, it is as if the investigation committee has no 'option' but to go to Shakib and talk to him. 

Enayet Hossain Siraj, Mahbub Anam, and Akram Khan - three board directors are going to Sylhet - said Akram, “90% of the work was done a month ago. Then there was the New Zealand tour, now the BPL is going on. Still, we haven't sat down with 2-1. The captain was also busy with the election. We will sit with them tomorrow and give a rough report analyzing the positive and negative aspects of the World Cup performance. After that, we will give it to the board as soon as possible. Apart from Shakib, there are 2-1 left. We’re going there tomorrow for it.”
