West Indies Women's thrashed England Women's by 6 wickets to go through the semifinals of ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. Afy Fletcher's three wicket-haul helped West Indies restrict England to 141 on the board. In reply, Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph's incredible opening partnership steered West Indies into the semifinals.

Opting to bowl first, West Indies started off to a magnificent start, removing the openers cheaply. Nat Sciver-Brunt and captain Heather Knight stitched a brilliant partnership, with Sciver-Brunt smashed a fifty of 57 off 50 balls to help England post a competitive 141 on the board.

Afy Fletcher was the pick of the bowlers as she scalped three wickets. Hayley Matthews too had two wickets.

In reply, West Indies started off to a flier. Both the openers Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph smashed boundaries on the regular basis and kept ticking the scoreboard. The openers brought up hundred-run stand to give a thumping start.

Hayley Matthews scored a fine 50 off 38 balls before falling to Sarah Glenn. Qiana Joseph blitzed with 52 off 38 balls. At the backend of the innings, Deandra Dottin smashed a blitzkrieg 27 off 19 balls as West Indies took just 18 overs to chase down the total.
