A huge amount of confidence is looming around India's circle after 4-1 ODI series win over New Zealand as they go roaring into the T20I series as favourites. The hosts, on the contrary, barely had tactical plans in place to stop the visitors except the 4th ODI drama. Now a change in format means there will also be more sixes scored in the next 3 matches. The opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan addressed the reporters on the eve of the game and added that they are looking forward to winning the T20I series as well in a bid to carry the momentum back home for Australia series. "We too are humans and our bodies need a bit of rest. Of course, we would be looking to win the series and carry the momentum back home for the Australia series," Shikhar Dhawan added in a statement.

Kiwis have a better record against India in T20Is

New Zealand can take refuge from the fact that their record against India in T20Is is sensational. The Black Caps convincingly got the better of India 2-0 in 2008-0. It was the only bilateral series played on New Zealand soil till now. New Zealand continued their winning prowess against India clinching 1-0 in a two-match away series in 2012 before losing 1-2 at the hands of Men in Blue India in 2017-18. However, it is always going to be challenging for both sides in the shortest version of the game. The first match of the three-match T20I series is scheduled to be played on February 6 at Wellington Regional Stadium.
