At one time, Zimbabwe had more connections with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). When others did not want to play with Bangladesh, Zimbabwe Cricket Board extended their support to the BCB. We call Bangladesh our second country : Brendon Taylor

In addition to playing regularly with Bangladesh, Zimbabwe played cricket in the domestic league of Bangladesh too. Zimbabwean cricketers used to stay in Bangladesh for a long time to participate in domestic tournaments, including Dhaka League. One of them had been Brendan Taylor. Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor, who had come to play bilateral series against Bangladesh, said,

“Firstly, it is good to come Bangladesh once more. We call Bangladesh our second country. We know the conditions here.”

“We are fully ready. We played two good Tests against Sri Lanka in the country. Both were gone in five days. There was a lot of positives there. Hopefully that will be seen in this Test as well,” he added. About the Bangladesh team, Taylor said, “There is a shortage in place of the Tigers' batting all-rounder as there has been no Shakib. But there are also veterans like Tamim-Mushfiq. There are some young players in the team who are ready to prove their worth.” "We won last year in Sylhet," said Zimbabwe captain Taylor at the airport. “The toss is very important. We have seen our pace bowlers do better.” Zimbabwe cricket team arrived in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon to play a Test, three ODIs and two T20I matches.
