The 13th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 saw a heated moment unfold between Colin Munro and Iftikhar Ahmed when the former accused the latter of chucking during Islamabad United’s clash with Multan Sultans in Multan on April 23.

The incident occurred in the 10th over of Islamabad’s innings when Iftikhar Ahmed delivered a sharp yorker to Munro. While the New Zealand batter managed to block the ball what happened next shocked everyone.

Munro gestured towards Iftikhar suggesting his bowling action was illegal. Instead of going to the umpires he directly confronted the spinner on the field sparking an argument.

Taken aback by the public accusation Iftikhar immediately walked up to the umpire questioning Munro’s behavior and defending his bowling action. According to ICC rules bowlers are allowed a maximum elbow extension of 15 degrees a limit Munro seemed to believe was breached

Multan skipper Mohammad Rizwan stepped in to calm tensions and confronted Munro for the uncalled-for gesture. Several other Multan players also expressed their disapproval of the Kiwi batter’s conduct.

Despite the drama, Islamabad United secured a comfortable seven-wicket win chasing down 169 runs with 17 balls to spare. Andries Gous stole the show with an unbeaten 80 off 45 balls while Munro contributed a crucial 45 off 28 deliveries hitting five boundaries and two sixes.
