Highlights
Team India showed grit and determination on Day 3 at The Kennington Oval in London. In fact, the day well and truly belonged to the visitors as they played an exceptional brand of cricket. They scored runs when it mattered the most and didn't take any risk.
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul added 83 runs for the opening stand before KL Rahul departed for 46 runs (6 fours, 1 six). After Rahul's departure, Pujara came out to bat and showed terrific temperament.
He hunkered himself at the crease alongside Rohit Sharma and added a 153-run partnership for the second wicket. Pujara is also the third-leading run-scorer for India in the ongoing series against England.
Rohit Sharma tops the list with 368 runs, KL Rahul comes next on the list with 315 runs whereas Pujara scored 227 runs. The Rajkot-born cricketer scored 91 in the third Test at Leeds. He continued his fine form in the fourth Test by scoring a half-century.
Craig Overton loses his calm after Pujara plays a defensive shot
Pujara went on to score 61 runs with the help of 9 boundaries. Meanwhile, Craig Overton who took 1 wicket in the first innings clearly struggled to make a difference in the game. He was even worse in the second innings as he didn't take any wicket on Day 3.
Overton conceded 38 runs in 10 overs. Pujara capitalised on the chances to better effect by scoring 2 boundaries off Overton. When the two players faced each other later, Pujara played a defensive shot off Overton.
This made the bowler angry as he tried to intimidate Pujara. The video clip has gone viral on the internet. Watch the video below.
Meanwhile, India are in a comfortable position at the moment. They have well and truly dominated the game with the help of Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara. Rohit had top-scored with 127 runs. Team India finished Day 3 with 270/3 and are leading by 171 runs.
