India lost badly to South Africa in the Boxing Day Test at Centurion . Losing by an innings and 32 runs, India surrendered helplessly to the Proteas in that match. But even if the team could not win, Virat Kohli fought hard.

In the match against South Africa, Virat Kohli played a fighting innings of 38 runs in the first innings and 76 runs in the second innings. And as a result of those two innings, Kohli improved in the ranking. India's batting great has returned to the top 10 in the ranking of Test batters. India's KL Rahul scored an incredible century in the first innings of the Centurion Test.
