Venues for 2025-2026 Ashes series locked in, Perth Stadium to host the first Test

The schedule for next summer's five-Test men's Ashes series was released by Cricket Australia (CA) today with the opening Test match to be played at Perth's Optus Stadium from November 21, 2025.

On Wednesday (October 16) the Cricket Australia (CA) has revealed the details schedule of highly-anticipated Ashes series.
The 'West Test' will be followed by the first day-night Ashes Test to be played at the Gabba in Brisbane (December 4-8), and then followed by the now-traditional pre-Christmas Test (Adelaide Oval, December 17-21), and then the Australia's biggest sporting occasion of the calendar - Boxing Day Test (MCG, December 26-30) and the New Year's Test (SCG, January 4-8, 2026).
The decision to play the 2025-26 Ashes pink-ball match at the Gabba means Adelaide will host its first day-time Ashes match since 2013.
2025-2026 Ashes series schedule :
- First Test - Perth Stadium (November 21-25, 2025)
- Second Test - The Gabba, D/N (December 4-8, 2025)
- Third Test - Adelaide Oval (December 17-21, 2025)
- Fourth Test - MCG (December 26-30, 2025)
- Fifth Test - SCG (January 4-8, 2025)
Australia have won all the previous Ashes series since 2017, including two away Ashes series. The last time England won an Ashes series was back in 2015.
