Two Bangladesh umpires in ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup

ICC has released the list of match officials ahead of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup. Cricket's apex body has released the list of 16 umpires and 4 match referees in charge of officiating World Cup matches through a press release. There are 2 umpires of Bangladesh in the list.

As his reward, this time he got the chance to umpire on the world stage of the World Cup. 2 Bangladeshi Masudur Rahman Mukul and Gazi Sohel will be in charge of match management for this year's U19 World Cup. Before this, Bangladeshi umpires have experience managing matches on several big stages including the Asia Cup.
The Under-19 World Cup will be held in South Africa from January 19 to February 11. South Africa and West Indies will face each other in the opening match. Gazi Sohel of Bangladesh will be the on-field umpire of that match along with Roland Black of Ireland. Pakistan's Rashid Riaz Waqar will be the third umpire and Afghanistan's Bismillah Jan Shinwari will be seen as the fourth umpire. Graeme Labrooy will be seen as the match referee.
In this year's U-19 World Cup, Bangladesh will play in Group 'A'. Ireland, USA and India are the opponents. The young Tigers have already reached South Africa to participate in the World Cup. Bangladesh's World Cup campaign will begin with a match against India on January 20.
