“I think we figured out Hathurusingha as too big a threat and conveyed much importance to him. If someone is uselessly made so hefty and everyone uttering his name all along the country, the impact would supposedly come out big upon cricketer’s mind,” he said.
“We thought a lot about Chandika Hathurusingha and talked too much as well. I heard some people saying like ‘it is cricketers who perform in the field not Hathurusingha’ – these things noted that we ponder over him a way too much,” Sarwar Imran said.
Imran also did not forget to mention that cricketers of team Bangladesh knew Chandika Hathurusingha have had fresh knowledge about them which obstructed their mental flow in the playing field.
“Hathurusingha worked three and half years with us. Generally he knows every bits and pieces of our cricketers whether it be technical or tactical. So some of our cricketers got weak mentally,” Imran added.
