Photo: ACC[/caption] Bangladesh were routed for 63 runs and lost by six wickets in their first game against Sri Lanka on Sunday. They have found winning ways on the next day. Choosing to field first, Bangladesh women restricted Pakistan women to 95/5 in 20 overs. Nahida Akter brought breakthroughs wirh the wickets of openers Nahida Khan and Muneeba Ali. The other bowlers bowled well too. Nahida was the peak of the bowlers for her 2/23. Rumana Ahmed bowled two overs for 1/6 including a maiden. Fahima Khatun and skipper Salma Khatun took one wicket each. Sana Mir top-scored for Pakistan with 25-ball 23* runs. In reply, Bangladesh lost Ayasha Rahman and Fargana Haque early in the run-chase. Opener Shamima Sultana batted with responsibility to take her team close to the target. She made 31 runs off 33 balls hitting three fours. Nigar Sultana and Fahima did the finishing job in the last half of the innings. They added 35 runs to end the match. Nigar scored unbeaten 31* runs from 35 deliveries with 3 fours. Fahima was bright the bat as well, scoring 18-ball 23* with just one boundary. Bangladesh won by seven wickets with 13 balls to spare. Fahima was adjudged Player of the Match for her all-round show. Bangladesh's next game is against tournament favourites and table-toppers India on June 5.
