The Asian champions Sri Lanka have announced squad for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, commences from October 3 in the UAE. Sri Lankan star Chamari Athapaththu will lead the Island country.

Chamari Athapaththu will lead Sri Lanka Women's team in the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. 
Sri Lanka's this squad has resembled the squad that helped them clinch the Women's Asia cup earlier this year. Sri Lanka have had a terrific phase over the last 18 months, clinching series victories over England and South Africa for the very first time ever in any format of the game, apart from their historic Asia Cup win. They also had an unbeaten campaign in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024.

Sri Lanka Squad for T20 World Cup :  Chamari Athapaththu (Captain), Anushka Sanjeewani, Harshitha Madhavi, Nilakshika de Silva, Inoka Ranaweera, Hasini Perera, Kavisha Dilhari, Sachini Nisansala, Vishmi Gunaratne, Udeshika Prabodhani, Achini Kulasuriya, Sugandika Kumari, Inoshi Priyadharshani, Shashini Gimhani, Ama Kanchana.

Chamari Athapaththu is Sri Lanka's highest run-getter in this format and they'll expect some superb knocks from their captain. 

Sri Lanka are mixed in the Group A of the mega competition along with the powerhouse Australia, India, New Zealand, and Pakistan and they will start their campaign on 3 October, against Pakistan Women's.
