Thailand Announce Squad for Women's World Cup Qualifier 2025

The Thailand women's cricket team is on a thrilling ride as they play in the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup qualifiers.
A strong 15-member team representing Thailand has been announced for the Women's World Cup qualifiers. Naruemol Chaiwai will be the captain of the team. Chaiwai will be at the helm of a side comprising experienced players and juniors for the qualifying tournament, to be played between April 9 and 19, 2025.
Nitish M. Salekar will be the team's head coach for the current season, and his assistant will be Akshaykumar P. Yadav.
The tough competition will be held from April 9 to 19 in Lahore, Pakistan, and will be the last stop for the teams competing for the last two qualification spots in the highly coveted 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in India. With six teams – Thailand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland and the West Indies – competing for qualification, the tournament is expected to be a thrilling competition.
The Thailand tournament itinerary has been confirmed. The campaign opens on April 10 against Bangladesh at the Lahore City Cricket Association Ground. In their second game, they play Scotland at the same venue on April 13 and then have a game against Ireland on April 15. The action will escalate further when they play hosts Pakistan in a day-and-night match at the legendary Gaddafi Stadium on April 17. They play their last league game against the West Indies on April 19, also at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Thailand has come on in leaps and bounds in ODI cricket since their first match on November 20, 2022. They have played nine ODIs and have won a whopping eight ODIs. Their only loss came at the hands of the Netherlands. Their most recent ODI outing was against the Netherlands on July 7, 2023. Thailand came on strongly in their last international outing, having thrashed the tri-series in Nepal in January 2024, where they played alongside Nepal and the Netherlands.
Thailand has kept 14 players from the winning team of the Tri-Series for the next World Cup Qualifiers, with the only new addition being Chayanisa Phengpaen, increasing the team size to 15. With Naruemol Chaiwai leading the charge, the team has a great mix of batters, all-rounders, and bowlers, ready to face the challenge on the international stage.
