Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud has emerged as the standout performer for his team in the ongoing Chennai Test against India. The 24-year-old pacer grabbed five crucial wickets in the first innings, including the initial breakthroughs that shook India’s top order. His outstanding bowling display has garnered praise not just from Bangladeshi fans but also from Indian cricket experts.

Indian commentator and former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has now joined the chorus of admiration for Mahmud, acknowledging his skill and potential in Test cricket. Manjrekar took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on Hasan’s bowling, praising the young pacer’s precision and strength.

Sanjay Manjrekar, who first noticed Hasan during the Asia Cup, was particularly impressed by the young bowler’s consistent line and pace. In his tweet, he wrote, “Saw Hasan Mahmud the first time in SL in the Asia cup. Looked special. Strong bowler, accurate, bowls a line that will fetch him a lot of wickets in this Test era.  He must never look to sacrifice pace though to keep all the above intact. Good luck to him!”

This isn’t the first time an Indian expert has been vocal about Mahmud’s talent. Earlier, Harsha Bhogle had also praised Hasan for his disciplined bowling, noting how he troubled India’s batting lineup in their home conditions.
