Sri Lankan international cricketer Shehan Madushanka have been charged with possessing of heroin. An official from Sri Lanka Cricket board confirmed that Sri Lankan police have detained a charge against him. Shehan Madushanka accused with drug charge

The 25-year old Madushanka, took a hat trick of wickets on his international debut in 2018 against Bangladesh in the debut match. After he was found with the drugs, he was remanded in custody for two weeks by a magistrate of that state. A police official confirmed that he was carrying just over two grams of heroin when detained in the town of Pannala on Sunday. Madushanka was spotted while driving with another person in a car during a nationwide coronavirus curfew. After that police stopped them and found the accusations. The right-arm pace bowler has steeped in the international cricket just a couple of years ago. He came to limelight when he took a hat trick against Bangladesh on his one-day international debut in January 2018. He also played two T20 matches against Bangladesh in 2018. After that he has not played an international since due to injury issue. Sri Lanka is due to relax its curfew from Tuesday. On the other hand, police have arrested nearly 65,000 people for breaking the restrictions imposed on March 20.
