Many Cricket analysts pick Bangladesh as one of the forces to be reckoned with. Atleast at home, Bangladesh have become invincibles since 2015 world cup. But the saddening part is, Bangladesh is yet to win an Asia Cup and World Cup.

But the 3 format newly appointed captain Najmul Hossain Shanto wants to break the trophy drought and hand Bangladesh a world cup and an Asia cup under his rein. Before the commencement of Sri Lanka series, Shanto spoke about his vision for Bangladesh Cricket.

"I don't think we've improved a lot in Test Cricket. But what we used to be in past, we're now doing better than that. I want to win majority of home tests. The importance of playing tests gets accepted by every player. I also want to give tough fight away from home."

"In ODI's mash" Allah we're doing great. But as a team we couldn’t win any trophy. I'll go with the plan on how to win a trophy. We've improved a raft in T20I Cricket. If we improve a bit we can win in any conditions in the world Cricket. The 30-35 pool of players who are around the national team, have to be responsible and need to contribute to the team"- said Shanto.
