It has been learnt that Shakib's father-in-law is ill. The all-rounder will join there, where his wife and two daughters are also staying. Khulna manager Nafees Iqbal told BDCricTime, "We are not going to have Shakib in the final match. His father-in-law is very sick which is why Shakib is going to America. He left the hotel after match the match yesterday (Monday)." Khulna made their way to the final of the tournament after a 47-run win over Gazi Group Chattogram in the Qualifier 1. Shakib hit 28 runs off 15 balls and took one wicket in the game.

Earlier, the ace all-rounder made return to professional cricket in the T20 Cup after serving ICC's one-year ban.
