Shakib to replace Mashrafe as new captain.[/caption] Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, one of the most successful captain in the history of Bangladesh Cricket team has yesterday announced his decision to retire from Twenty/20 Internationals after the two match series against Sri Lanka. The fans have been surprised with this announcement of their favorite captain. Bigger surprise for them was waiting as the chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Board- BCB has already informed media the name for the next captain for the least over format of the game. Mr. Nazmul Hasan Papon, chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Board- BCB has hinted the name of ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan as their choice to provide the captain's arm band for next two years. The honorable member of national parliament has revealed this while talking to media in Colombo, with less than 24 hours after the retirement decision of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.

Shakib, who has leaded Bangladesh in four Twenty/20s in past arguably the best player of the team. He has the experience to play in all the domestic overseas leagues and is at the top of All-rounders ICC Ranking for the format.
