Rubel is now fighting with his life at the moment as he recently did the operation of his brain tumour in Singapore. He has not fully recovered and that's why he has to take the help of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. For this treatment, he has travelled back to Singapore again.
Rubel told in social media - "I am going to take chemotherapy and radiotherapy in Singapore. Everyone keep me in your prayers."
The 37-year spinner has to live in Singapore for the next 1.5 months for completing his treatment. If the therapies are not given properly, there is a chance of suffering from cancer too.
Meanwhile, Rubel also expressed his regretfulness for not being able to watch the upcoming World Cup live from the stadium. However, he wished his team all the best.
"I wanted to watch this World Cup live from the stadium. Saifuddin told me during BPL that he will give me all the tickets of the world cup matches if gets named in the squad. Your wishes and reality aren't the same I knew it. But I didn't expect the reality to be so bitter."
