Jaffna Kings beat Colombo Strikers by 7 wickets on Wednesday (10th July). Quick-fire 27 from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Glenn Phillips' 58 off only 32 balls helped Colombo Strikers post 188 on the board. In reply, Rilee Rossow smashed a century to chase down the total at ease.

Being asked to bat first, Gurbaz started the innings rapidly and raced his way to 26 off just 11 deliveries. Number three batter, Glenn Phillips stood tall for the team and scored a fine 58 from 32 deliveries to steer the ship for Colombo Strikers.

Azmatullah Omarzai and Asitha Fernando both shared two wickets each to reduce Colombo Strikers for 188.

In reply, Jaffna Kings lost two wickets inside the powerplay. But Rilee Rossow made the most of the conditions as he started ripping through the opposition. He found hands with Avishka Fernando and stitched a solid partnership of 124 runs, which killed the chase eventually. Rossow brought up a spectacular hundred to help his side chase down the total. While Avishka also made a fine fifty to chase it inside 19 overs.

Bangladesh's Taskin Ahmed had another off day as he gave away 38 runs in his 3 overs and took just a wicket for Colombo Strikers.
