Rangpur Division secured a commanding 21-run victory over Dhaka Division in the NCL T20 round using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method. Batting first, Rangpur posted 140 runs, and the revised target of 134 in 17 overs proved too much for Dhaka, who managed only 112 runs.

The match, played at Sylhet Academy Ground, saw Rangpur Division batting first after losing the toss. The innings began cautiously, but the middle-order pair of Akbar Ali and Arif Hossain anchored the innings effectively. Akbar scored a quick 28 off 22 balls, while Arif remained unbeaten with a composed 45 off 39 deliveries.

Adding a late flourish, Anamul Haque Enam smashed an unbeaten 26 off just 17 balls, helping Rangpur reach 140 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs.

Dhaka’s chase was riddled with early setbacks as Rangpur’s bowlers dismantled their lineup. The only notable contribution came from Arafat Sunny Jr., who managed 18 runs off 18 balls. Adjusted to 134 in 17 overs due to the DLS method, Dhaka fell short by 21 runs, ending at 112 for 9.

Rizwan Chowdhury was the standout bowler for Rangpur, bagging 4 wickets and putting Dhaka under immense pressure. He was well-supported by Mukidul Islam, who took 2 wickets, and Anamul Haque Enam, who added one to his all-round performance.
